Certified Flight Instructor Helicopter
This is a training package for a student who holds a Commercial Pilot Certificate with a helicopter rating and wishes to become a Flight Instructor. This rating allows you to obtain gainful employment at a helicopter flight school where you can begin to build hours towards your next job flying larger aircraft.
Eligibility requirements
The following are the FAA minimum requirements to obtain a Certified
Flight Instructor Certificate:
- be at least 18 years
- hold at least a Commercial Pilot Certificate with a helicopter rating
- have a current FAA third-class medical certificate
- pass the FAA Fundamentals of Instruction and Flight Instructor written exams
- pass an FAA practical exam
- English skills (read, write and speak)
Length of Program:
From start to finish you should allow approximately 5 weeks.
