Commercial Pilot Helicopter – Additional Rating
This is the training package for a student who already holds a Commercial Pilot Certificate and wishes to obtain a Commercial Pilot Certificate with a Helicopter Rating. A Commercial Pilot Certificate enables the holder to fly for compensation or hire. Our ground and flight instruction provides you with the knowledge to pass your FAA examination, and mak you a safe, competent and professional Commercial Pilot.
Eligibility requirements
The following are the FAA minimum requirements to obtain a Commercial Certificate with Additional Rating:
- already hold at least a Commercial Pilot Certificate
- be at least 18 years
- have at least a current FAA second-class medical certificate
- log at least 100 hours in powered aircraft, 50 of which are in helicopters
- log at least 35 hours PIC in helicopters
- receive at least 20 hours of flight instruction
- have at least 10 hours of solo flight
- pass an FAA flight examination
Length of Program:
From start to finish you should allow approximately 5 weeks.
