Commercial Pilot Helicopter – Additional Rating

This is the training package for a student who already holds a Commercial Pilot Certificate and wishes to obtain a Commercial Pilot Certificate with a Helicopter Rating. A Commercial Pilot Certificate enables the holder to fly for compensation or hire. Our ground and flight instruction provides you with the knowledge to pass your FAA examination, and mak you a safe, competent and professional Commercial Pilot.

Eligibility requirements

The following are the FAA minimum requirements to obtain a Commercial Certificate with Additional Rating:

already hold at least a Commercial Pilot Certificate
be at least 18 years
have at least a current FAA second-class medical certificate
log at least 100 hours in powered aircraft, 50 of which are in helicopters
log at least 35 hours PIC in helicopters
receive at least 20 hours of flight instruction
have at least 10 hours of solo flight
pass an FAA flight examination

Length of Program:
From start to finish you should allow approximately 5 weeks.
