Certified Helicopter Flight Instructor Instrument Training
This course is designed for a student who holds an Instrument rating in helicopters and a Flight Instructor Certificate with a helicopter rating. During the course, he or she will acquire the skills and knowledge required to successfully complete the Instrument Instructor practical test administered by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). He or she will be prepared to provide instrument instruction in a helicopter.
Eligibility requirements
The follow is the FAA minimum required to obtain a Flight Instructor Instrument Rotorcraft Certificate:
- be at least 17 years
- have a current FAA third-class medical certificate
- hold an Instrument Rating for Rotorcraft
- pass an FAA Instrument Flight Instructor flight exam
- English skills (read, write and speak)
Length of Program:
From start to finish you should allow approximately 2 weeks.
